'SI question paper leak case' A force is shielding Dibon Deka: APCC

GUWAHATI: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has smelt a rat that a racket has been out to shield BJP leader Dibon Deka in the SI (sub-inspector) question paper leak case.

Addressing a press meet at Rajiv Bhawan here on Sunday, APCC general secretary (organization) Ranjan Bora and spokesperson Dilip Sarma said that mystery over the scam got thickened on Saturday when the chairman of the State-Level Police Recruitment Board, Pradip Kumar, quit the post. "It was Pradip Kumar who filed a case in connection with question paper leak taking BJP leader Dibon Deka along with him. But then, how come Deka has done a vanishing act? Grilling Deka may lead to more skeletons tumbling out of the closet. Sniffing such a development by an unseen force, be it of the government and the party (BJP) or of the police, Deka has been made to do a vanishing act. We demand intervention of the Chief Minister into the incident," Ranjan Bora said, and added, "The scam needs to be probed by a sitting judge of the High Court."
