Snatcher caught by Assam Police at Basistha

GUWAHATI: A youth from West Bengal, Krishna Das, was caught by the public when he made an attempt to snatch the money bag of a person at Basistha here on Saturday. The public handed over the man to the police, but not before beating him up black and blues. According to police, the man withdrew Rs 2 lakh from the SBI branch at Beltola. When he was about to board his motorcycle, the man snatched the bag and made an attempt to flee. However, the public there caught the man.
