GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Secondary Education has published a list of 36 teachers on the recommendation of the state-level selection committee to felicitate with state awards to teachers in 2023 for their valuable contribution in the field of education. Among those 36 teachers, there are 21 from the secondary level, two from upper primary, and 13 from lower primary schools.

The selected teachers at the secondary level are Tapash Kumar Sarkar, Hrianya Kumar Nath, Dhirendra Nath Baruah, Moktasiduz Zaman Azad, Anima Das, Dewbar Ramchiary, Hari Bhagowati, Madan Mohan Kalita, Bhagaban Baishya, Bhushan Chandra Saharia, Heremba Barukial, Ranish Chandra Ramchiary, Mrinal Khound, Pradip Kumar Patar, Paban Kumar Kalita, Gunindra Nath Ojah, Upen Goswami, Pradip Saikia, Debajit Ghosh, Maram Jyoti Das, and Bhupen Gohain.

The selected teachers at the upper primary level are Nalini Kumar Mazumdar and Babul Rahman Sarkar.

The selected teachers at the lower primary level are Rabiya Begum, Madhurima Bora, Ambiya Begum, Niru Nath, Rudra Singh Rabha, Girindra Kashyap, Ranu Phukan, Chandan Tripathi, Usha Rani Bayan, Bhupendra Konwar, Ranjan Saikia, Juri Das, and Khabiruddin Ahmed. The teachers will be felicitated on September 5 at Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra.
