State condoles Union Minister Ananth Kumar ’s death

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi mourned the death of Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar who breathed his last on Monday.

In his condolence message, Prof. Mukhi said, “Deeply grieved to learn the demise of Ananth Kumar, a prudent and popular leader in Indian public life. Ananth Kumar was a great asset for the country and his death is bound to create a void which will be hard to be filled”.

Prof. Mukhi further said that he was a multi faceted personality who contributed greatly to public welfare. He also expressed his condolences to the bereaved family, friends and prayed to the Almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also mourned the untimely demise of Union Minister Ananth Kumar who died at the age of just 59 years.

In a condolence message, Chief Minister Sonowal said, “Death of Ananth Kumar is a personal loss as much as it is to the nation. A prudent and able public figure, his untimely demise will definitely create a void”. His contributions towards the society selfless service to the people of all sections will always be remembered. His dynamism, energy and dedication towards the public remains a shining example for all. “My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, friends and well wishers. I pray to God for eternal peace of the departed soul”.

Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary has condoled the demise of Union Minister Ananth Kumar.

In a condolence statement, Patowary stated, ‘Ananth Kumar was a popular politician and a dynamic leader. He made an indelible mark as a parliamentarian and minister in our country. His contribution to our democracy and development of the nation will be remembered by generations.’

The Minister extended his condolences to members of the bereaved family and prayed to the almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul.
