Stolen Material Unearthed In Scrap Dealer By Gorchuck Police

GUWAHATI: Gorchuck police conducted a raid at a scrap dealer in Baruwari, Sonapur on Wednesday night investigating stolen bikes. Although the bikes were not found, temple materials including brass utensils were discovered at the site. The police arrested two workers, Kutub Ali and Aminul Hoque and seized the temple materials. It was later revealed that the temple materials were stolen from Bathao Mandir in Sonapur. A case (188/19 u/s 457/380 IPC) was previously registered at Sonapur police station in this regard. Gorchuck police handed over the two workers along with the temple materials to Sonapur police station.
