Suspected Ganja Recovered from Agartala Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express at Guwahati Railway Station

Guwahati: At least 14 packets of suspected ganja weighing 70 kg were recovered from Agartala Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express (Train No. 20501) at coach number A1 and bearth no 38, 40, 42.

The incident was reported at around 8 am on Tuesday morning.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) officials during a patrolling duty recovered the suspected Ganja from the possessions of Md Prabir Alam (36) son of late Abu Kalam, village Gajaria Police Station under Bishalganj in West Tripura District, Rushi Begum wife of Prabir Alam, Md Ashraful Alam (24) son of Jainul Hoque village Gulakandi under Ratabari Police Station in Karimganj District and Sumit Mishra (23) son of Madhu Prasad Mishra, village Charakwa under Charakwa Police Station in Faijabad (Uttar Pradesh).

A case has been registered in connection to the matter under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
