Tea workers deprived of daily wages since lockdown: Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha

GUWAHATI: The Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS), on Wednesday, alleged that the tea workers have not received their daily wages since the lockdown has started.

Senior ACMS leader Lankeswar Tanti stated that around 1,000 tea gardens in the Brahmaputra Valley have been closed due to the lockdown. Tanti added that the labourers are in a state of crisis as they don’t enough rations and their work has also been completely halted. He appealed to the tea owners of the region to find a solution for the problems of the workers, at the earliest.
