Technical Errors Behind Flawed NRC: Badaruddin Ajmal

GUWAHATI: The Assam State Jamiat Ulama (ASJU) president Badaruddin Ajmal stated that names of several Indians are missing from the NRC.

Ajmal released a press statement on Saturday where he said that the inaccuracy in NRC is due to a technical error. However, he assured the people of the State that they should not be anxious for they can approach the Foreigners’ Tribunal, the High Court or the Supreme Court with their grievances. He also informed that the ASJU will extend a helping hand to all the genuine citizens irrespective of caste and creed, who are in troubled waters over NRC. Ajmal stated that he had already informed the organization members to meet the people whose names did not make the final draft and aid them.
