Train cancellation due to heavy rains in Assam

GUWAHATI: In view of water-logging and landslides due to heavy rain, at km 113/4-5 between Jatinga Lumpur and New Harangajao, at km 131/1-2 between Bandarkhal and Ditokcherra sections and other several locations in Lumding - Badarpur hill section of Lumding division, services of a few more trains have been cancelled and partially cancelled as indicated below.

Partially Cancellation/Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains - are 13173 Sealdah-Agartala Kanchanjungha express, commencing journey on 15th May 2022 will be short terminated at Lumding and remain partially cancelled between Lumding and Agartala.. Train No. 13174 Agartala–Sealdah Kanchanjungha express, commencing journey on 15th May 2022 will be short originated Lumding and remain partially cancelled between Agartala and Lumding.

Train No.13175 Sealdah-Silchar Kanchanjungha express, commencing journey on 14th May 2022 has been short terminated Lumding and remains partially cancelled between Lumding and Silchar.

Train No.13176 Silchar - Sealdah Kanchanjungha express, commencing journey on 16th May 2022 will be short originated at Lumding and remain partially cancelled between Silchar and Lumding.

Cancellation of trains:

Train No. 15611 Guwahati – Silchar express, commencing journey on 16th May 2022 will remain cancelled between Guwahati and Silchar.

Train No. 15612 Silchar - Guwahati express, commencing journey on 15th & 17th May 2022 will remain cancelled between Silchar and Guwahati. Train No. 15615 Guwahati – Silchar express, commencing journey on 15th May 2022 will remain cancelled between Guwahati and Silchar.

Train No. 15616 Silchar - Guwahati Express, commencing journey on 15th May 2022 will remain cancelled between Silchar and Guwahati.

It may be noted that Train No. 15615 Guwahati – Silchar express, commencing journey on 14th May 2022 is controlled at New Haflong station and Train No. 15616 Silchar - Guwahati express, commencing journey on 14th May 2022 is controlled at Ditokcherra station. Necessary measures are being taken by Railway authorities for the stranded passengers of both the trains to facilitate reaching their destinations. The stranded passengers of these trains are safe. All kinds of essential items like food and drinking water are being arranged by the Railway authorities for them, a press release said.
