Transport strike called off, buses to run with 100% capacity

GUWAHATI: The All Assam Motor Transport Association called off the transport strike from Friday.

According to an order issued by the government, the buses will be allowed to ply with full capacity but no passenger will be allowed to travel by standing.

All passengers and bus crew members will have to wear face masks. In fact, no passenger should be allowed to board a bus without wearing face mask. The buses have to be sanitized after the completion of a journey. Keeping sanitizers inside buses is mandatory.

The order said that anyone violating the COVID-19 protocol will have to face stringent action.
