Two sellers were hurt in a violent brawl in Guwahati's congested Six Mile
neighborhood in Assam on Sunday during the day after they were allegedly attacked by a man posing as a YouTuber, Rabbani Soyam. Public indignation and renewed worries about the rise in street violence have been sparked by the tragedy.
Sources claim that when Rabbani argued with a local fruit vendor in the busy market, things descended into violence. The argument swiftly became heated, and Rabbani allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed two local store owners who were attempting to diffuse the situation. Rabbani reportedly left the area after the attack. In order to treat the injured fruit vendor and another shopkeeper, locals hurried them to a neighboring hospital. One of them needed urgent medical attention, according to doctors.
Shortly after the incident, Guwahati Police arrived on the spot and began the investigation to find and capture the suspect. To piece together the events, officers are gathering witness testimony and
analyzing the CCTV footage.
The public has been urged by authorities to provide any information that
could help identify the perpetrator, and they have promised that individuals who engage in such violent behavior would face severe consequences.
