UDISE code not mandatory for Class XI admission: ASSEB, Division-II

Guwahati: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-II, has announced a major relaxation for institutions seeking to admit students into Class XI through the DARPAN portal for the academic session 2025-2026. As per the revised notification, the mandatory requirement of the UDISE code for accessing the DARPAN portal has been waived off for this session.

However, the Board has made it clear that this is a one-time relaxation. Institutions that are currently without a UDISE code must obtain one from the competent authority by the next academic session. From 2026-2027 onwards, having a UDISE code will be mandatory for all Higher/ Senior Secondary Schools to access the DARPAN Admission Portal.

Earlier, it was mandatory to enter the UDISE code during new registrations or profile updates on the portal.
