Water pipeline bursts in Latasil, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A water pipeline burst created a flood-like situation in the Latasil area on Friday.

According to reports, the incident took place when testing of water supply to the city was going on. The burst coupled with a loud sound created a crater on the road.

According to reports, the flowing water covered the whole area from Gauhati High Court and even entered the Latasil Police Station. However, the situation was controlled after the main source of the water flow was blocked. The people who witnessed the burst said that the water flow rose up to around six feet from the ground.
