Woman found dead; partner arrested in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Rebika Thaodam, a woman from Manipur whose body was recovered in Rupnagar in her rental place on Saturday night, in that connection her boyfriend Rohit Saikia of Lakhimpur was arrested by the Bhangagarh police. According to the police sources, Rohit is an advocate by profession. He came to meet her on Saturday morning. They planned to buy a scooty. But regarding some issue they had quarrel among themselves. After sometime, he went out of their place, and after he returns, he finds her hanging. In this regard, her parents registered a case (212/2023 under Section 302 IPC). After his arrest, he was produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
