World IVF Day celebrated at 151 Army Base Hospital, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: World IVF Day was celebrated at the 151 Army Base Hospital here on Monday to commemorate the birth of the world's first IVF baby, Louise Brown, on July 25, 1978.

An awareness programme was organized on the occasion to cover the enormity of infertility issues in the Armed Forces and ART services offered for the purpose. Felicitation of the successful IVF cases (couples and babies) in the station also marked the occasion, stated a press release.
