Kansas shooting & Trump’s condemtion

During his first address to Congress on Tuesday last, US President Donald Trump has condemned the incident of shooting in Kansas, in which one Indian was killed and left another injured.

Of course, Trump’s condemtion to the tragic incident has come too late, almost after a week has passed since the incident happened. Necessarily, people of India wanted to know the US President’s reactions to the tragic incident.

On February 22 last, two Indians Srinivas Kuchibhotla, an engineer by profession was killed and another engineer Alok Madasani received serious injuries as a result of shooting by a 51-year-old American military veteran-turned-infotech worker at a bar in Kansas in the State of Missouri, USA.

The shooting incident has condemned by everyone in India. Necessarily, the Indian IT establishments are in great fear as many of their employees work in the USA. Of late, a climate of hostility has created in that country towards foreigners.

A section of Americans hates immigrants even they possess necessary documents to live and work in the USA. Moreover, the present President’s “American first” agenda has also contributed to the climate of hostility towards foreigners. The murder of an Indian is the first reported incident of hate towards foreigners after Donald Trump assumed presidency.

The USA government must ensure safety of the immigrants who possess valid documents to work and live in that country.

Mece of child labour

Children are the future of a tion. But it has been seen that many children work in places like factories, houses, along roadsides, hotels or restaurants, etc. in order to earn their livelihood as they don’t have a family or parents to look after them.

Many of us who have been brought up in a normal ambience can’t understand their predicament. Still, we should try to empathize with them. We should try to help them whenever we see them in a sorry state. But lack of empathy from our side makes them dwell in the same state. Their condition persists. I would like to ask everyone to try to condemn child labour and eradicate the mece from the society.
