After lying low for months due to corona pandemic, the veteran AASU leaders are back now. They were last active during the anti-CAA agitation. Since when COVID-19 pandemic emerged in the state they all vanished and hibernated. Now finally, the president and the general secretary of the students' body are hitting headlines by claiming that corona pandemic is nothing but all drama. Seriously hats off to them. When people expected them to be amongst them by creating mass awareness about coronavirus or by extending a helping hand to the poor and downtrodden during the nationwide lockdown, these big mouthed leaders were completely missing from the scene. Our state is passing through a crucial phase. Gradually we are witnessing more COVID-19 positive cases and spike in death rate. It is not the right time to play politics and mislead the people by saying that corona pandemic is a 'drama' enacted by the State government. The AASU leaders have fans making irresponsible statements that may do more harm than good. Constructive criticism or suggestions are always helpful. I appeal to the top brass of the AASU to stop fooling all the people for all the time.
