Anti-tiols /

Anti-tiols

Who are the real anti-tiols? To the best of my knowledge, the corrupt are the greatest anti-tiols. A gun can kill a few; it can't annihilate a society or a tion. But, corrupt practices can cripple many generations. Glaring examples are in front of us. Are the politicians, bureaucrats, officials and businessmen etc., who amass huge wealth at the cost of common people by adopting all kinds of immoral methods, not anti-tiols?

Why are they not put behind the bars under NSA or any draconian law?  It is unfortute that corrupt politicians have become the law makers. Most sensible people with patriotic mindset only take to guns to fight real anti-tiols or enemy of the people, which, in fact, may not be the right way to achieve the desired target in a democracy!

A Correction

This is in reference to a news report dated 20th September, 2017 with the headline ‘Colleges, Institutions should have Placement Cell’ published in your esteemed daily. We would like to draw your kind attention that the statements reported to be made by ED, Guwahati Refinery, Mr Jogen Barpujari —‘applications from North East and Assam were not received for two consecutive years due to which no local youth from the region could be recruited for the vacant posts in IOC throughout the country’ — was reported wrongly. Instead, Mr Barpujari said that in the last two years, the number of applications received from North East and Assam was less in comparison to the number of applications received from other states.
