The days seem to be very tough for Assam. The COVID-19 cases are increasing very rapidly. It is reported that COVID-19 positive cases have crossed 1,200 in Assam so far. Situation of Assam may be worse. In this crucial time a number of people remained in the quarantine centres are found irresponsible. They behave harshly with the frontline workers who are serving tirelessly to save our lives from the dreaded COVID-19. It is very disheartening when the entire world is trying hard to battle the dangerous virus. In this situation our behaviour should not be rude and impolite. It may discourage the frontline workers. God forbids, if somehow, the dreaded virus spreads further, it would be uncontrollable and massacre entire Assam as no vaccine is yet discovered. Through your esteemed daily, I would like to request the people concerned of the quarantine centres to be more polite and cooperative with the frontline workers who are working selflessly for our own interest.
