Cell Phones for Children

One expects parents to be genuinely concerned about a bright future for their children rather than working overtime to be pleasing them. Parents should not pamper them by helping them to do only what they like rather than what is really good for their development. The most outstanding villain of the piece is the cell phone. While we are thankful for this wonderful invention of Motorola, it is certainly unwise to ignore what sophisticated smart phones are doing to children. It is certainly an advantage to be able to provide children with cell phones so that they can be in constant touch with their parents. However, providing children sophisticated smart phones that can almost replace computers is doing more harm than good. A sophisticated smart phone is a major source of entertainment. By providing children such smart phones, parents do considerable disservice to their children because they are providing a means of many hours of entertainment that take up most of the time that children should be devoting to their studies. Quite obviously the solution is to provide children small cell phones that will eble them to remain in touch with their parents without providing them the means of entertainment with smart phones that leaves no time for their studies.
