We are almost habituated to use the mask everyday as a preventive measure for corona pandemic. But from a recent study, we have come to know that prolonged use of mask may be harmful to us because it produces hypoxia. The air under the mask turns into carbon dioxide due to our repeated breathing which causes feeling dizzy. It intoxicates the user when he moves or does some works. As a result, the user feels discomfort, losses of reflexes and becomes fatigue. Moreover, oxygen deficiency may cause glucose breakdown and risk of lactic acid rise. Use of mask at the time of driving may also be harmful because the stale air can make the driver lose consciousness. Therefore, it is better to remove the mask every after 10-15 minutes for sometime and breathe fresh air. But we never forget to maintain social distance. When someone is very close to us or busy at talking, we must use the mask. We should remember that mask is used only for our safety that doesn't mean that we lead to another problem, which may be harmful to our health. It is better to use the mask knowingly.
