Degrading own Nation

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who has the habit of insulting his own country in global flora, is back in the news again. Earlier in the run-up to the last parliamentary polls he degraded his own country by terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘Chowkidar chor hain’ on foreign land. It is understandable that one may have ideological differences with the Prime Minister, but there are certain platforms where one cannot vent one’s opinions against the PM. Is it wise for one to vent one’s opinions against the Prime Minister before some foreign leaders? Now again post-Hyderabad rape case, he termed India as ‘the rape capital of the world’ which is totally outrageous and false. If one does search in Google India is way below. By claiming his own country as ‘the rape capital of the world’ Rahul Gandhi has maligned the image of Indians. There is no denying that rapes are becoming frequent in the country, but still India can be considered safer than so many other countries. Definitely India is ‘not the rape capital of the world’ by any stretch of the imagination as claimed by Rahul Gandhi.
