A State has many departments under it and to process any data, it requires files which contain very important information, notesheets, the various on route stages of a file and so on. Basically, the point of origin on any topic is a file from where the matter proceeds. Officially, every matter in an office starts from the lower end and ends up at the higher end, moving through various phases and queries.
Circle Office, Land Registrar, DC office, Establishment files etc are some examples which are of paramount importance. As time passes, old physical files sometimes get destroyed either due to floods, fire or due to termites etc. We live in a fast track age where digitalization is the need of the hour. Perhaps, digitalization of files in every department can start. That way, there will be at least a scanned copy of the files and there will be no fear of destruction of any records.
Digitalization will also lead to less use of paper thereby reducing cutting of trees and thus contributing to a greener environment.
