E-rikshaws

The E-rikshaws are now-a days available as means of transportation almost in all towns and city in Assam. But it becomes troublesome to some people particularly to the senior citizens and elderly persons and children in some cases while crossing roads. I want to give an example at Biswanath Chariali. The Biswanath Chariali Ghat road from main police point of the town is being widened on both sides. Most of the drivers of E-rikshaws hesitate at will to give side or space to the pedastrian, other vehicles for crossing the road. I would, therefore, like to request the authority concerned to ban plying of it from the police point to the PWD office, for the time being, at least 6 months until the widening of this portion is complete so that no accident may take place taking in view the traffic conjestion as well as vulnerability to accident in this portion.
