Electronic news media in Northeast India

Electronic media has electronic and electromechanical audience to access the content. This is in contrast to static media, which today are most often created to electronic to be accessed by the end user in the printed form. Example of electronic media – things such as the television, radio and internet.

Northeast (NE) India compromises 7 sisters – Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam, Manipur and one brother – Sikkim. NE has developed in recent years. It is true that the NE separation is not only by the rest of the country but by media also. Ugen Bhutia writes on 'The Hoot' -"The media watching site for the subcontinent, the northeastern part of the country is getting negligible space and time in national newspaper and on television channels ." NE is a part of the country where there are at least 200 ethnic minority groups. These groups have nothing to do with the commodities produced by multinational corporates which advertise in such media. Although, Mizoram Newz was the first 24-hour satellite channel of NE India. It was also the first earth station and teleport and the first daily newspaper was launched in 1983, named The Sentinel in the Northeast. DD Northeast was there since 1994, owner by the government. Now, large number of satellite-based electronic media house which were mainly based in the centre of NE 'Guwahati' Assam, like – Pratidin Time, DY365, News Live, Prag news etc. The most popular media house News Live is with across the NE region of India, including seven sisters and one brother. The channel calls itself the voice of the northeaster people.
