India mourns the loss of two legendary actors

I am deeply saddened to know the demise of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, just a day after another great Bollywood actor, Irfaan Khan passed away from cancer. The sudden demise of two great bollywood actors came as a shock to the entire country leaving a void in the the Indian film industry.

Rishi Kapoor was an actor, director and producer in Hindi cinema. He started his career early, as a child actor in his father’s film Mera Naam Joker (1970), for which he also won a Filmfare Award. He also received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1974 for the film.

He went on to play the romantic lead in 1992 and was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008. Irfan Khan was a magnificent actor and an Padma Shri award winner who performed both in Indian films and Hollywood. Irfan is said to be a man of few words and an actor of silent expressions and with his deeps eyes he can convey emotions like none other. This week has proved to be a terrible week for the Indian film industry with two multi-faceted and iconic actors being taken away with their sudden demise but their memories and impact still remain. May both of their souls rest in peace.
