Let’s shun negativity

These days words like quarantine, pandemic, epidemic, lockdown, financial situation etc have ruled out almost all the people of the entire universe. Due to the phase-wise lockdown we all have confined ourselves to our respective homes. Somehow, it is much gratifying that we are getting a chance to turn our houses into home again. Instead of making us comfortable at the homely vibes, at some moments various sadistic thoughts bring negative vibes to us which lead to fear, anger, insecurity, helplessness, frustration, anxiety, boredom etc. During this period our survival instincts signal our brain to release cortisol, the stress hormone which can shatter us adversely. So, it is very essential to keep ourselves mentally, emotionally and physically stable. To overcome all these COVID-19 stigma and unfriendly situations we may adopt different activities like trying new recipes, spending time with books, jot down our thoughts, listening to music, gardening, workout, chatting with friends and relatives, playing board games with family, learning a new skill and so on. Practising meditation will also help us to stay calm, control anxiety, generate kindness and keep ourselves happy as happiness always depends upon our dispositions and not upon our circumstances.
