Check bemi demand drafts

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Union Fince Ministry should look into serious issue of black-money transactions through bemi demand drafts/pay orders where such instruments continue exchange of hands like currency. There even exist certain firms which act like a sort of 'banker' where demand drafts/pay orders made in their mes are easily accepted in markets, and these firms give cash after deducting their commission to holder of such demand drafts on a date nearing validity period.

Now with numerous households connected with banks under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yoj, stress should be on banking transactions replacing cash dealings. Validity of demand drafts should be further reduced to 45 days with compulsion of printing me and account number/address of purchasers on these instruments. Demand drafts/pay orders of above Rs 10,000 may generally not be made from cash.

Ayodhya should just be a tourist spot

The Ayodhya issue has gone too far on political and religious considerations. It has become a political issue only to win elections. The debate can go on endlessly. To resolve the Ayodhya issue, the best course of action would be to either turn it into a heritage site or build both temple and mosque within the disputed site. Citizens can visit it as a tourist spot. If it turned into a place of worship for Hindus and Muslims, visitors can be allowed to view the example of commul harmony. If this can be achieved in tiol interest, it would be a great example of Hindu and Muslim unity and a lot of the country's resources can be saved from getting wasted.
