It's an undeniable fact that there are a good number of underprivileged and marginalized youths in Assam who have great talent in sports and have relentlessly been engaged in regular practice with the sole aim of attaining excellence in the same. Significantly enough, they are also encouraging many others to pursue sports in order to make not only their locality but also the entire country proud. But, the saddest part is that the areas of the State they belong to lack the required ambience and platform to prove their hidden talents. They don't even receive much needed media coverage to attract the attention of the department concerned of the government. I view that the media should do its utmost to bring such hidden sports talents to the fore and hence help draw the government's attention to their potential. The sports history itself makes one believe that if trained under expert coaches, they will be able to take Assam to a greater height.
