Celebrate festivals with caution

PM Modi's speech regarding the pandemic should be taken as a wakeup call for all Indians. At no cost should we let our guard down during the coming festival and winter days. We will have to celebrate with caution. Norms on mask use, maintain social distancing, wash hands with soap or hand sanitizer, hygiene etc, should be followed very seriously. Let us not congregate this year, and also avoid ostentatious celebrations.

Condition of Anganwadi centres

I fully agree to the views put forward in the letter published on October 26. The pathetic condition of Anganwadi centres is really sad. The buildings of these centres are terrible. As children are immunised in such centres, I would like to request the Social Welfare and Health Department to look into the matter seriously and take appropriate actions without delay.

Putul Sarma,

Why only Bihar?

The BJP in its election manifesto for Bihar Assembly election has said that the residents of Bihar will get free COVID -19 vaccine if the party returns to power . The announcement should be welcomed by all. However, through your daily we would request the Union Health Minister to announce the same for all residents of the country and not for Bihar only.

Bikash Barpujari,

Guwahati.
