Durga Puja celebrations

This year, Durga Puja festival was a low key affair due to corona pandemic. Majority of Puja committees used printed images of Goddess Durga instead of using costly idols. Some Puja Committees used their funds for COVID relief activities and cancelled celebrations. Some others had minimal celebration of the festival. No doubt, this year's Durga Puja celebration was simple and pollution free. Limited people came out from home to enjoy the festival for which rush or public gathering was not visible like before.

The corona pandemic teaches us a new lesson that in this way also we may celebrate puja festival by avoiding public gathering, air and sound pollution and wasting a huge amount of money. We look forward such types of minimal and peaceful celebration of Durga Puja for the next year too.
