COVID syndromes

Patients may develop various syndromes six months after being infected with the coronavirus. These syndromes include weakness and sleep problems. A recent research in China found that. The study was conducted on more than 1,700 patients treated at Uhane Hospital, the source of the corona pandemic. At least one syndrome was seen in 76% of patients after a few months without hospitalization. Research has also shown that corona infections have long-term effects on the body even after recovery. More than 90 million people worldwide have been infected with corona. The research was published in the medical journal The Lancet on January 08, 2021. Weakness and sleep problems are more common as corona syndrome, research says. This occurs in 63 to 26 per cent of patients. This syndrome can occur up to 6 months after the initial diagnosis. The effects of the virus can lead to long-term psychological complications and discomfort. Depression and anxiety were seen in 23 per cent of patients. According to the research, these are patients who more ill and whose lungs were radiologically diagnosed with more damage. This happens more often in their case. The research team was led by Dr. Biskao of China-Japan Friendship Hospital and Capital Medical University. In a statement, he said, "COVID-19 is a new type of disease. We are just beginning to understand its long-term effects on the patient's body." The statement further said that after leaving the hospital, most of the patients have some effects of the virus on their body. Patients with these syndromes caused by corona live. Extra care is needed for those who have more infections. The statement added that more research needs to be done on large populations. It is important to understand the effects of the coronavirus on the patient's body in more detail. The long-term effects of the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on corona have been described as weakness, fainting, coughing, joint pain and chest pain. Syndromes such as low attention span, depression, and headaches can also occur. The CDC also states that some patients may remain ill for weeks, or even months, after recovering from COVID-19 and returning to normal life. People who have not been hospitalized or are less ill may also have this syndrome.

However, infection with the coronavirus causes a variety of syndromes in the human body, which can lead to many health problems. Everyone should know this. As a health worker, my humble request to every citizen of the country is that no patient infected with COVID-19 should seek treatment from any Ayurvedic doctor. This is because Ayurvedic medicine is a completely mythical medicine. Which can be called Pseudoscience.

Youths' mind

The young minds are filed with materialistic ambitions. Media and market frenzy render their collective consciousness as vulnerable to passivity and nihilism. To ventilate dissent in a democratic space by young mind seems heretical and incurs the wrath of the right-wing authoritarian dispensation. This reductionist mentality of 'might is right' has occupied the public sphere, squeezing out the democratic norms of deliberation and disagreement. Neoliberal consensus is cognitively conditioning the young minds, as market mechanics is the dominant superstructure shaping the aspirations and decelerating the culture of dissenting voices.

Fools' world

The alliance between the AJP and the Raijor Dol is a formality now. The Congress which is fighting for its survival missed the ship of forging the alliance. Ripun Bora and Rakibul Hussain are the two culprits who couldn't read the future of Assam's politics. Their insistence of having alliance with the AIUDF is the reason why the two new political parties rejected the century-old party. Leaders of Raijor Dol had hinted several times to the Congress to dump the AIUDF and forge an alliance. The BJP is already miles ahead in terms of reaching out to even the remotest ones by launching several public welfare schemes which are also executed properly. With the AJP and the Raijor Dol alliance and the Congress remaining the third option, the anti-BJP votes are bound to get divided benefiting BJP alliance. Secondly Akhil Gogoi contesting from two constituencies from upper Assam will only worsen the situation of the Congress. The BJP's mission 100+ is on right track with one of the most successful Ministers Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma leading the truck.

All hopes dashed

Rajya Sabha MP Ajit Bhuyan, controversial social worker Manjit Mahanta, writer Sikha Sarma, Dr. Hiren Gohain, journalist Prasanta Rajguru and a few more have been a dejected lot. All of their efforts to string a grand alliance of Opposition forces didn't materialize. The above mentioned opportunistic group did everything under the sun to paint a picture of the AIUDF as a secular party, the Congress as big brother party and the BJP as communal party. They were initially very upbeat with the formation of the Raijor Dol and the AJP. They were over the moon when Lurinjyoti Gogoi assumed presidentship of the AJP and Akhil Gogoi was selected as the president of the Raijor Dol. The worst possible news came to them when the Raijor Dol and the AJP decided to tie up from the Assembly elections ignoring their favourite parties the AIUDF and the Congress. All these bunch of people and a few more received some sort of favour from the AIUDF or the Congress. Ajit Bhuyan became MP with courtesy of Badruddin Ajmal and Lt. Tarun Gogoi. The super 'emotional' Sikha Sarma is a regular writer in social media platform, whose only agenda is to glorify Badruddin Ajmal and Miyas. But these groups have become very aggressive against the Raijor Dol and the AJP after they left the AIUDF and the Congress. Now in their own capacity they are levelling all sorts of charges against the two regional parties. The 'weeping lady' Sikha Sarma is all praise for Badruddin Ajmal as she thinks Ajmal's contributions towards Assam and the youths is unparalleled. My humble suggestion to Lurinjyoti Gogoi and leaders of the Raijor Dol is not to get distracted from their path. Elephant doesn't change its course when 'dog' barks. It is better to have the Raijor Dol and the AJP as Opposition than Ajmal and Ripun Bora.

Transgender in police

The Bihar Police had decided to recruit Transgender in its force. The State police is likely to issue an advertisement regarding recruitment to 10,000 posts of constables soon. A transgender would be appointed on every 500 appointments. As per proportional representation based on the population of transgender, Bihar Police can employ 51 transgender as there are sanctioned strengths of 1,30,243 police persons. It means 40 constables and 11 sub-inspectors can be appointed from among transgender. The transgender would not be given any relaxation in terms of physical and academic tests during selection. They will be part of the district police force. Hope that the recruitment of transgender in the police force should open many opportunities for them and they will get a chance to equally participate in society. Citizens need to encourage the transgender community by losing prejudice against them.
