Electing honest and efficient candidates

Since a large number of candidates with criminal backgrounds have got party tickets to contest in the forthcoming Assembly election in Assam, voters will have to be careful while casting their votes. Honest and efficient candidates should be elected by the voters in this Assembly election. In fact, no political party should nominate candidates with criminal backgrounds. Political parties should have a moral duty to the society. Some political parties just want to get their candidates elected in the election. Nomination of candidates with criminal backgrounds by the political parties is wrong, and it should be judged by the voters.

Super spreader

I'm very much shocked that political leaders of our State are easily violating all important COVID-19 protocols in their election campaigns. We remember that Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma mentioned that all the rules of COVID-19 set by the Central government should be followed. But now we are getting a different picture. We all are seeing that everything is possible for the BJP government, and I think that's why it is moving ahead with its election campaign with no fear and doubt in mind. Sometimes I feel that the BJP is the 'super spreader of COVID-19 pandemic'.

Lost reputation

The Mumbai Police was once known as Indian Scotland Yard. The Scotland Yard police is known universally as the dreaded police force that instills fear among the dreaded criminals. The Mumbai Police too had the same reputation which is under the control of Mumbai Police Commissioner. Many daring officers like Daya Nayak (known as encounter specialist) served the police force that brought down the crime graph of the city. Many notorious gangsters were silenced by the team of Mumbai Police who at that period was not under any political pressure. The same Mumbai Police Commissioner known for its efficacy has become top-heavy and often bows down before the political masters. This has resulted in loss of reputation of the police force.
