Bring APSC to right track

Many letters have been published in your esteemed daily on the functioning of APSC. Even after the removal of Rakesh Paul and his associates from APSC, the situation has not   brought the commission back in the right track. It is clearly evident from the latest examition (prelimiry) conducted by APSC. There were various anomalies like paper setting, answer script correction, grace marks given for wrong questions, even list of successful candidates in some examitions etc., show that the system continues to be faulty. From these observations, it can be presumed that some members of APSC are still trying to tarnish the image of the commission.  I appeal to the authority concerned to revamp APSC by removing the doubtful members in the commission so as to bring back its bright image for the years to come.

Poor show continues

The pathetic performance of the state cricket team in the prestigious Ranji trophy continues. In the last match played at Barsapara Stadium, our cricket team lost against depleted Hyderabad side by six wickets. The chop and change policy adopted by our 'visiory' selectors are not yielding any result. Even after injection of new blood in the team, the desired result has not been achieved. Defeat continues to haunt the team. The selection board and Assam Cricket Association (ACA) officials should take moral responsibility and vacate their posts but will they do so? Surely they would never do so, but rather sacrifice some players, coach and mager. Assam cricket need complete overhaul of the administration and magement system. Instead of lobbying BCCI for more intertiol matches, they should concentrate on improving the grassroots level of cricket in the State.

Tanvir Ahmed,

Sunpur lbari.
