Undisciplined and unruly drivers
One of the major reasons for the traffic chaos in Guwahati is the parking of cars by their drivers in a reckless way on both sides of the road.
It creates a lot of problems and chaos. Also, it has become fashionable for the many so-called elite car drivers to park in front of the gates of residents, which is uncalled for. Dumping of used water bottles, chip packets, tissue papers, etc., by consuming eatables in the car itself and throwing these out of the window of cars is a common sight. These are the newly learned breed of road users. Who will rein them in? And what should we call them—learned or illiterate?

Cricket World Cup 2023 Final
Team India’s title drought in the ICC events continued as Australia outplayed India in all aspects of the game in the final of the World Cup. India’s formidable batting line-up collapsed like a pack of cards. Similarly, our much-vaunted bowling failed to deliver when it was needed the most.
On the other hand, the Australian team under Pat Cummins won their sixth World Cup title. It is never easy to beat India in India, particularly this Indian team, which had decimated all the opposition teams with ease before the final. But Cummins and his team achieved the impossible by virtue of some meticulous planning, a never-say-die attitude, and most importantly, their supreme professionalism. It was complete teamwork for Australia, with their batters, bowlers, and fielders firing in unison in the most important match of the tournament. No praise is too high for Australian opener Travis Head, who almost single-handedly led his team to ultimate glory with a spectacular display of batting. Well done, Australia.
As far as Team India is concerned, it will be another agonizing wait till the next World Cup arrives. Hopefully, by that time, the team would become a cohesive, potent, and formidable unit.
