Lockdown violation | 1 Jun, 2020

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the civic authorities towards the violation of social distancing and other norms as formulated by the government. There have been many instances in the state where people roam around freely without wearing masks. It doesn't seem like lockdown at all.

In my view, the government and officers concerned with the implementation of the lockdown should take serious measures against such violation. The police officers should not be lenient in their approach. Very recently, a group of boys threw away the food provided to them at the quarantine centre. It was a very harsh step and I believe that they should have been dealt with in a fitting manner.
