Mass culling of pigs, as reported in the media might be initiated very soon owing to swine fever. It will be a heart-wrenching sight.
Burial will be an issue due to the floods. Can the dead pigs be burned instead as space will not be a factor here? This is something that has bothered me. Perhaps, the experts can take a look into this, if it is feasible.
Prevention is better than cure. As such, pigs can be vaccinated before onset of swine flu.
People will then be able to harvest on their livestock.
