Misdeeds of three IPS Officers

Misdeeds of three IPS Officers

The Congress led UPA government was so badly steeped in scams that people used to say that the Congress is synonymous with corruption. During the erstwhile regime, scams of the biggest ever dimension rocked India. Those involved in the scams including the cabinet ministers have been sued and put behind bars. The ruling dispensation of Assam, led by Tarun Gogoi, too, has been rocked by scams, one after another. The latest being the missing of three files of three IPS Officers from the ‘Home’ ministry as reported in a section of the press. The files contained information relating to the (mis)deeds of three tainted officers and the cases are subjudice. How the files have been missing from the ministry is a mystery. The influential tainted officers must have maneuvered the entire exercise tacitly. There were charges of murder, concealment of material facts while amassing fabulous wealth and extortion against the officers against Anurag Agarwalla, R.M.Singh and Raghabendra Awasthi. When common men cannot get away from the dragnet of the police after committing a crime, one wonders how the big-shots in a bid to exonerate themselves take recourse to maneuvering the issue by getting the files missed! It appears that in the present ruling dispensation in Assam, it is free for all the bureaucrats to loot as much money as they can. Above all, they enjoy the blessings of their big boss. The only option left with the people is to wait and watch.
