Nature and humans

Taking in consideration of the ground realities, there is a famous Assamese quote 'Itihakh ok suwori, bartamanok loi, bhabisot gorhiba'.

Like a blade of grass, we have to learn to live with nature or man created disaster as scientific solutions are yet to be found since Independence (1947-2020). There are disasters like earthquake, floods, drought, God forbid the corona pandemic etc and whatnot.

The abundant natural resources and the beauty of the land is a paradise on earth but also a sorrowful event during annual floods.

Is it not the time to ponder and wonder? As there are a few doers and the rest are wonderers. Brain storming in the right forum, taking the views of local people who are always vocal and citizens for some concrete solution should come into existence. News comes and also fades out from public memory. It is a clarion call to our leaders to walk the talk and find permanent solutions.
