Through your esteemed daily I would like to draw the attention of the Assam CM towards the pathetic condition of the technicians of Assamese Film Industry. The lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic has broken off the economic condition of the Assamese Film Industry's technicians for which they have been forced to take tea selling to earn their livelihoods on footpaths. In Bollywood Film Industry, there are many actors who are wealthy. That is why they have come forward to help the technicians. But the economic condition of the directors, actors, singers of the Assamese Film Industry is not as good as that of Bollywod actors, directors and singers. Thus, that they cannot come forward to provide economic support to the technicians. I thank the government for providing lockdown support to folk singers, dancers and the artistes who play Bahi, Negera, Pepa, Patidhul etc. but unfortunately the technicians have been left out.
