Ridiculous comments of a Minister

From the report published in the sentinel on 9th April’15, it appears that some statements made by some Ministers, make them a laughing stock. Goa’s factories & Boilers Ministers and his wife said wearing a saree would save a woman from eve teasing and even rape. But women wearing sarees are also teased and raped. Sarees reveal some portion of the body while a Salwar Kameez covers the full body; yet wearers of both the garments are attacked and raped. So the Minister cannot generalize the matter for the whole of Goa or India.

The Minister also advised people not to send their children to convent schools. When the standard of the Government Schools rises, people will turally prefer to send their children to such schools. The purpose of education is to inculcate good culture and not simply Hindu Culture, Muslim Culture or Christian Culture!
