Stop bandh culture

After the massive destruction and vandalism done during protest against the then CAB/CAA in Guwahati by some goons, I appeal to the AASU (All Assam Students’ Union) to stop giving bandh call in future as it hurts the common people. Secondly, the AASU leaders have failed miserably to control the protesters which ultimately led to destruction of public property. No minister/MLA would bear the cost of the destruction from their pockets. It is the public exchequer which bears the cost. As a resident of Guwahati, I appreciate the efforts of the authorities concerned in repairing the damage done during the two dark days of December. Calling bandhs, hartals and vandalism have never solved any issue, nor will it ever do. Hope the AASU will take this in right spirit.
