Terrorism all over India and abroad stands at present as a tiol and global problem. It has been rising alarmingly all over the world. The prime necessity is to recognize the cause of existence of this malaise and work unitedly to solve this problem which is now a curse to humanity as a whole. The recent massacres in Bagdad and Dhaka have given a new dimension to the whole problem.
We have achieved tremendous scientific growth and by means of this, we have been able to reach the Moon. But unfortutely for us as well as for entire humanity, we have not been able to reach each other as yet.
I am also pained to find a news appearing in one of the newspapers from Assam that a certain terrorist organization has threatened to kill IAS and IPS officers serving anywhere in India on selective basis. I have observed this with great dismay and disappointment.
We strongly condemn this and should therefore build up a powerful movement against terrorism. We also urge upon the people to realize the danger in time and put forth an organized resistance against the mece of terrorism, since it may spell disastrous consequences for the common people. It is time the Government wakes up to the seriousness of the problem and grapple with it.
Normally, an IAS or IPS officer is an asset to the tion. He has to complete a very tough examition to get this status. In view of this, the governments at the Centre and in the States should provide adequate security to all these officers so that they can render their valuable services to the tion with dignity and honour for all-round advancement of the tion.
Facts being as they are, I sincerely appeal to the intertiol community in general and the Government of India in particular to find out a suitable solution to this most complicated global problem which is going to bring disaster not only to the tion’s economy but also to intertiol peace and security as a whole.
