Unhygienic washrooms

Srimanta Shankardeva Kalakshetra, a distinctive tourist spot situated 10 km from the city center, is truly representative of the cultural ethos of Assam. It is undoubtedly a multi-arts complex that aims to preserve and promote the socio-cultural heritage of Assam. med after the great unifier of Assamese society, poet-playwright, musician, composer, painter, sculptor, philosopher and reformer Srimanta Sankardeva (1449-1568 AD), this modern cultural hub really soothes one’s mind. The State government and the magement authority should be commended for its upkeep.

I would like to express my view that it would have been helpful for the visitors if the concerned authority could provide them leaflets, in the entrance to get a clear idea about the insides and different directions.

And filly, through your esteemed daily, I would again like to draw the attention of the authority that proper cleanliness should be maintained of the well-structured toilets in the premises of the center. Especially, on those occasions, when there are plenty of visitors, the cleanliness drive should be more effective. Moreover, the visitors too should keep the toilets clean. Otherwise, we, the people of Assam, will be condemned by visitors from outside Assam who may leave the sanctum with a notion that we are really poor in maintaining adequate cleanliness and hygiene. We should not give them the opportunity to laugh at us!

Shikha Gogoi,

Jagiroad.
