Whither India’s Economy?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi left no stone unturned to improve India’s diplomatic relations with the superpowers of the world and could register significant success. Now, Pakistan, India’s enemy number one cannot stand a match with India on any count. While India could register spectacular progress in many fields simultaneously we are appalled to note that India’s economy has been sliding down going from bad to worse as suggested by the reports published in the print media. Now the matter has come to such a pass that a profit-making organization like BSNL to has to face a crisis about its entity. We could understand well that the government of India follows certain erroneous policies to relegate such a government department to back foot offering a red carpet welcome to a private player. In our opinion any government department if it is in a bad shape, the government would be held solely responsible for that. Every month the employees and officers of BSNL have to strain every nerve and muscle to receive their monthly salary. We fail to understand why the Jawans of the CRPF have to be deprived of their salary and other allowances. Who knows what lies in store for certain other departments if the sorry state of affairs of the Indian economy cannot undergo any change.
