The NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Technique) organizes RIE CEE, which is a national level exam for admission to the B.Ed program. The RIE CEE (Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Test) is a centralized entrance examination. Qualifying this exam lets the candidates pursue their B.Ed course in Prarambh and Regional Institute of Education.

DUBEDCET 2021:The online form for B.Ed CET 2021 under Dibrugarh University will be available during the second week of the month of May. The last date for applying will be the second week of June. The examination will be conducted, most probably, in the last week of June. It will be notified soon by the university.The application fee for BEDCET 2021 for Dibrugarh University is Rs. 700 for all categories of students.

B.Ed CET 2021 Application Forms Dibrugarh University

The duration of the B.Ed course is 2 years. The candidates can apply for the same only if they are graduate or in the final year of graduation. The admission process, generally, starts from the month of May.

Candidates, who aspire to take admission in the B.Ed program, must fill the application for the exam. For this, the candidate has to visit the official website of its respective entrance examination. There they have to complete the registration process. The candidates have to provide their full name, contact details, address, etc. However, completing the registration details does not ensure admission to the B.Ed program. For admission, they have to clear the exam by getting the qualifying marks.

IGNOUBEDCET 2021: The BEDCET 2021 under IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) will be held on 11th April 2021. Along with numerous courses, IGNOU also offers the program of B.Ed for candidates who aspire to be in the teaching profession. The entire procedures of admission to the program will be completely based on the guidelines of Open University.

The submission of the application form started from 1st March 2021 and it will last till 31st March 2021. The release of admit card will be notified soon on their official website. The entrance test will be conducted on 11th April 2021.

DUBED CET Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must know the eligibility criteria for applying to the course. The NCTE has provided a set of criteria to be fulfilled by a candidate to appear for the B.Ed course. These criteria include:

  1. One must, atleast, have a Bachelors degree, such as B.A., B.Sc., or its equivalent from a recognised university.
  2. The average percentage of the candidate must be 50%, with relaxation to SC, ST, and PWD candidates.
  3. Candidates with B.Tech (Bachelors of Technology) can also apply if they have scored a minimum of 55%.
  4. The minimum age for applying is 19 years.

For the course of B.Ed, one must have a series of skills which will help in the completion of the course as well as in getting a suitable job. These skills include- the ability to think critically, proper communication and organisational skills, patience, quick learner, empathy, and enthusiasm.

Dibrugarh University BEDCET Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The syllabus of the BEDCET consists of a few sections. These sections include

  1. Teaching Aptitude
  2. Verbal Aptitude
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. Logical Reasoning
  5. General Knowledge

The sub-topics of these main sections are listed below:

The section of General Knowledge consists of History, General Science, Politics, and Current Affairs.

The section of Verbal Aptitude consists of Seating Arrangement, Paragraph Based Puzzles, Syllogism, and Bar, Pie and Line Chart Data Interpretations.

The section of Teaching Aptitude consists of Teaching Aids, Methods of Teaching, Factors Affecting Teaching, Nature, Characteristics, Objectives, and Basic Requirements of Teaching.

The section of Logical Reasoning consists of Substitution and Interchanging, Test of Alphabet, Principle of Classification, and Series Completion.

The section of Quantitative Aptitude consists of Ratio and Proportion, Average, Percentage, Profit and Loss.

General English

The part of General English is based on basic English. The topics included in this section are Tense, Reading Comprehension, Spelling, Vocabulary, Articles, Error Correction in Sentences, Synonyms, Prepositions, Antonyms, Sentence Transformation-Voice Change, Narration, Simple, Compound, and Complex Sentences.

  1. Be aware of all the rules of the above-given topics and practice questions related to these.
  2. Practice English Grammar quizzes on the internet.
  3. Improve vocabulary by learning new words, such as synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, etc.

Teaching Aptitude

This part concentrates on the teaching methodologies and pedagogies to handle students of different age groups. It includes problem-solving, analytical thinking, intelligence, communication skills, etc.

General Knowledge

This section analyzes the candidate's general awareness, knowledge of life science, environment, etc. Their knowledge of current affairs, history, politics, geography, economics, country's general policies, and many more are assessed through this section.

Subject-Wise Section

This section comprises subjects, such as Social Studies like Geography, History, Political Science, and Civics, Physical Sciences like Chemistry and Physics, Biological Sciences like Zoology and Botany. The part of English as a subject-wise section includes grammar, phonetics, functions of language, writing skills, reference skills, idioms, etc.

A candidate can select any one of the mentioned subjects for the common entrance test.

  2. Completion of the difficult section first is helpful.

DU B.Ed CET Process of Admission & Counselling

One mode of admission to the program is the state-level entrance exam which comprises the common test conducted by the institutions, such as BEDCET of different states. Another mode is the institute level entrance examination.

In the former test, the candidates will be called for the counselling session after scoring the qualifying marks in the test. This session will lead to providing seats to the candidates in colleges offering the B.Ed program.

The latter refers to the test conducted individually by the institute to select candidates eligible for the program. A few examples of these entrance tests are GUBEDCET, IGNOUBEDCET, DUBEDCET, and several more. After qualifying in the common entrance test, the candidates have to go through a personal interview round to get a seat in the college for the B.Ed program.

The other method of admission to the B.Ed program is based on merit. It depends on the marks obtained by the candidates in their degree examinations. Those candidates have to visit the college and complete their application form to apply for the program. The next step involves payment of fees which results in the enrollment of the candidate into the B.Ed program.

  1. To apply for the BEDCET 2021, a candidate has to visit the official website of the university and provide the basic details. After giving a password, it will lead to the activation of the account by giving the code sent to the registered mobile number.
  2. Next, the candidate has to use the registration number and password to start filling the form. A blank application form will appear after logging in. The form has to be filled up with all the required information, that includes marks of the qualifying examination, signature, photograph, and so on.
  3. The next stage involves the payment of the fees through online modes, such as debit card, credit card, internet banking, etc. It directs you to the application form where one has the option of reviewing and editing it if any errors found. After the final review, the candidate can submit the form, and complete the process. Finally, the candidate has to save the submitted form for future reference.

  1. The application fee, once submitted, will not be returned back under any situation. Even if the candidate does not appear for the common entrance test, the fees will not be refunded.
  2. If in any case, the acknowledge slip is not generated, the candidate has to contact the concerned university and notify regarding the problem. The candidate has to provide the following credentials, such as Name, Contact Number, Transaction Date and Time, Bank Account Number.
  3. A candidate must ensure that he has all the necessary certificates that will validate his information mentioned in the form. The requirement of these documents varies from university to university.

The list of government jobs, one can opt for after B.Ed, are as follows-

  1. Teacher for Central Schools, such as KendriyaVidyalaya, Navodaya, and so on: The selection process is based on the examination conducted by the concerned authority as well as CTET qualification.
  2. Post Graduate Teachers and School Assistant: The selection process is through the marks obtained by the candidates in the TRT (Teacher Recruitment Test) which is organized by the state governments.
  3. Elementary or Primary School Teacher: The selection process, here, also takes into account the marks obtained in the TRT.
  4. School Principal: The selection procedure is based on the experience of the candidate.
