Dibrugarh University Post-Graduate Entrance Test is organised by the university every year. Candidates, who are interested in pursuing a post-graduation course, can opt for DUPGET. Dibrugarh university also gained a name in both India and Abroad. Also, being a segment of the Association of Indian Universities, contributed a lot to its prestige. Dibrugarh University PGET Course

The courses that can be pursued under the university include Post-Graduation in Science, Post-Graduation in Arts: Education, Commerce, etc. Applicants with a degree or appearing for the final semester can apply for DUPGET. The process of filling the form is entirely based online method.

DUPGET Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who are interested to sit for the entrance test, i.e., DUPGET, must fulfil certain criteria described as follows -

1. To pursue post-graduation in Arts (M.A.) in the subjects listed here- Bodo, English, Anthropology, Geography, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Assamese, History, Sociology, and Philosophy, one must be graduate with a major in the required subject and have scored at least 45% or a similar CGPA.
2. Similarly to pursue post-graduation in Science (M.Sc) in the subjects listed here- Geography, Applied Geology, Life Sciences, Anthropology, Statistics, Maths, and Physics, the applicant must possess a graduation in the related subject with 45% marks.
3. In terms of Mass Communication, Hygiene, Sanitation and Health, 45% of marks are expected in their graduation.
4. For Applied Psychology, graduation, along with a degree in the medical field, and a score of 45% is required.
5. In terms of M.Sc. in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, it is mandatory, for the candidate, to have graduated from the Veterinary Sciences or Agricultural Sciences or Biological Sciences or Medical Sciences with a score of 50% of marks.
6. To pursue M.Ed., the requirement is to obtain a B.Ed or B.Sc-B.Ed or B.A.B.Ed or D.El.Ed along with a graduate degree or B.El.Ed.

Important Notes

1. Applicants who are appearing for their final semester examination are eligible for applying for DUPGET.
2. Applicants who have applied for their 6th-semester exam and waiting for the result can opt for the test.
3. These applicants are provided with provisional admissionn if they are qualifying marks in the test as well as in the counselling session.
4. If any qualified applicant has a back paper in any of the semesters, they also can get provisional admission.
5. If any problem takes place during the process of payment, which could be a result of a network or internet issue, one can contact the helpline number provided by the university.
6. The problem can include the deduction of money from the bank account but no receipt has been generated. The candidates have to provide their full name, date & time of the transaction, contact number, and bank account information from where the money was deducted for the transaction. Generally, this process takes two to three days, so it is better not to wait for the last date of application submission.
7. Candidates who secured a higher rank in the merit list will get a preference to select the course and get admission to the university or its affiliated college.
8. The entire selection process is dependent on the performance of the applicants in the test and the counselling session, hence, the process of admission is provisional. The admission is successful only if the required documents are provided during the admission process.
9. The university also follows a few guidelines to offer relaxation and reservation to candidates according to the rules of the government.

DUPGET Important Dates

The advertisement for DUPGET 2021 will be released in the initial week of July of this year. Also, the starting of application form fill up, through online mode, will also start from 3rd week of July. The date till which the form can be filled up is the third week of August.

The date on which DUPGET will be organized is in the fourth week of August. The result and the date for counselling will be available soon after the result of the test is announced.

DUPGET Application Fees

Each candidate has to pay an application fee of Rs.500 to apply for Dibrugarh University Post Graduation Entrance Test (DUPGET). The payment of the fee can be done only through the gateway of online payment, which includes credit card, debit card, and net banking. It does not provide other means of payment, such as offline mode of transaction.

DUPGET 2021 Application Process

The entire process for filling the application form for DUPGET is online. An applicant has to initiate the process by registering online. The tentative date for the start of filling the application is July 2021. The complete registration process is online. No offline application form will be accepted.

The candidate needs to complete the form with their correct and accurate information. To finish the process, the candidates have to pay an application fee. The payment can be done through online transaction gateways, such as net banking, credit cards, debit cards, and others.

Once the process is completed, the applicants need to wait for the availability of the admit cards. However, candidates cannot make any changes in their form or modify their information after the final submission of the form.

When the admit card is released, they can download it by going to the link on the official website. To save the admit card, the applicant needs to enter his or her password and username after visiting the link. This admit card needs to be printed and brought to the examination centre.

DUPGET Application Process Requirements

1. The candidate's scanned copy of a photograph must not exceed 512kb, and the resolution of the width should be 180 pixels, and the height should be 200 pixels.
2. The applicant's signature should not exceed 512kb, with a width resolution of 300 pixels, and a height resolution of 60 pixels.
3. Scanned copies of the graduation mark sheet, migration certificate, pass certificate, and registration card should not be greater than the size of 512kb. All these copies should be uploaded in JPG format.

Dibrugarh University Admission Procedure

1. Admission to the post-graduation program in each department is organized separately.
2. All the required information for the process of admission is provided on the university's website.
3. It also provides the provincial list of the qualified candidates for the course.
4. The colleges, affiliated with Dibrugarh University, releases their own admission date and time as per their own convenience.
5. The payment of the admission fee is to be carried out only through online mode. The details and instruction for the payment of the fees will be given by the colleges.

DUPGET Examination Pattern

1. The process of conducting the examination is entirely offline.
2. It is a paper-based examination.
3. The time period of the examination is 120 minutes or two hours.
4. The medium of language for the test is English.
5. The question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
6. 100 questions will be there.
7. Each question carries one marks, hence, the total mark of the test is 100.
8. There is also a deduction of marks for each incorrect answer. 0.25 marks will be cut for the wrong input.

DU PGET Admit Card

1. The date on which the admit card will be released will be announced with the release of the examination date.
2. Applicants have to visit the university's website to download the admit card and keep a hard copy of it.
3. To download it, one has to use one's username and password to get access to his/her admit card.
4. The admit card is very important as, without it, no candidate will be permitted to sit for the test.
5. It also carries importance till the date of admission. The qualified applicant has to provide his or her admit card during the process of admission.

Step by Step Method to Download the DU PGET Admit Card:

1. Visit the official website of the university.
2. Click on the link on the site which leads to the admit card of the entrance examination.
3. By using the user id and password, get access to the admit card.
4. When the admit card is displayed, download it.

DUPGET Result

The result of DUPGET is expected to be available in the month of September. The list of meritorious students is entirely based on the score that they obtained in the entrance test. It, generally, gets released after a few days from the day of the entrance test.

The names of qualified students get released on the university's website. The applicants can check their result and check their rank according to the marks they scored on the test.

This list provides the name who are selected for the counselling round.

To check the result, the following steps are to be followed-

1. Visit the www.dibru.ac.in, which is the official website of the university.
2. Select the option of DUPGET Result.
3. To get access to the result, one has to type the user id and the password, which were created during the process of application fill-up.
4. When the details are entered, select the option of 'search'.
5. Once the result is displayed, the applicants can download it and use it for future purposes.
6. The cut-off marks, for being eligible to get a seat in the university, depend on how many students have appeared for the test, the scheme of marking, the question standards, and also an analysis of the previous year's pattern. It also involves a few other factors.

The result of DUPGET is also released only through the method of online. The applicants, who completed their form and sat in the examination, can check their result which will be declared on the university's official website.

DUPGET Seat Reservation

1. Out of the total seats available in the university, 80% is reserved for applicants who have completed their graduation from colleges under Dibrugarh University.
2. Applicants from under universities cover the remaining seats.
3. These seats are for courses, such as M.Com, M.Sc., and M.A.

DUPGET Examination Centres

Dibrugarh University conducts this test in a number of colleges in Assam. This makes it a lot easier, on the part of the candidate, to sit for the test.

These test centres include Sibsagar college, Tinsukia College, DCB Girl's College in Jorhat, D.R. College in Golaghat, North Lakhimpur College, J.B.College in Jorhat, Majuli College, Nerim in Guwahati, Dhemaji College, and Sonari College in Charaideo.
