The application process for CUET Undergraduate courses will start from the 1st week of April 2022 as informed in the official notification issued by University Grants Commission (UGC) on Monday.

New Delhi: University Grants Commission (UGC) has said that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to get admission into UG courses from the next academic session will be conducted in 13 different languages.

The 13 languages as per the commission are English, Assamese, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali and Odia.

In this regard, the statutory body UGC on Monday issued a notification informing about its recent development regarding the Common University Entrance Test.

The commission under the education department of the central government in the notification stated that all the entrance exams organized by National Testing Agency will be held in 13 languages from now onwards.

''CUET for getting a seat in UG courses from the academic session 2022-23 in all the central universities funded by the commission will be held in as many as 13 languages,'' reads the official notification.

The commission announced that CUET for UG admission is mandatory in all central universities from the next session onwards.

It is important to note that the application form to apply for the CUET undergraduate programs will be made available from the initial week of the month of April 2022.

The official website of the exam conducting body NTA will share all the updates regarding the entrance test and at present, a detailed structure of CUET UG has been uploaded on NTA its website- nta.ac.in.

The common entrance test may also be adopted by the states, private and deemed to be universities as mentioned in the notice issued by the UGC secretary on Monday.

The notification also added that a large number of central universities across the country have confirmed to take part in this year's Common university entrance test for admission into post-graduate courses.

According to the notice all information and update about CUET PG will be soon shared on the website of NTA.

The commission further asked all the stakeholders to visit the website of government agency NTA for all other information and further updates.
