Alec Baldwin Shooting Accident on Movie Set: Killed Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins

Halyna Hutchins, 42, who was a cinematographer died on a movie set in New Mexico while working as the director of photography for 19th Century western Rust. The shocking accident took place as a result of firing a prop gun by Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin. Hutchins was immediately sent to the University of Mexico hospital through helicopter where the doctors declared that she is dead because of the severe injuries.

The prop gun firing by US actor Alec Baldwin not just killed Hutchins but also injured another person the director of the film named Joel Souza, 42. Joel was taken to a local hospital from Bonanza Creek Ranch, an inclusive filming location by ambulance.

The police have been investigating the incident and no one said on Friday that no charges had been filed. Baldwin though voluntarily gave his statement at the Sheriff's office regarding the incident of shooting as reported by the Santa Fe New Mexican. He was seen in tears and heartbroken outside the Sheriff's department on Thursday. Later the actor used Twitter to express his grief about the deadly incident that happened while filming Rust. He mentioned in his tweet that he is heartbroken about the tragic death of Halyna who was admired and loves by all. He expresses his sympathy towards Halyna's fans and family, her husband and their son.

Another such shooting accident on a movie set took place in the year 1993 where Brandon Lee, 28, the son of Bruce Lee late star of martial arts died on the spot of the set. He was shot accidentally by a prop gun while acting his role in a death scene of the movie The Crow. The gun was loaded with bullets of drill round by mistake by the crew.

On the recent accident of filming that took the life of Hutchins, Brandon Lee's sister recalled her brother's death. She offers her heartfelt condolences to the Hutchins family and tweeted that No one should ever be killed by a gun.
