Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who had received the first jab of COVID-19 vaccination last month, took the second dose of the vaccine on Sunday.

The 78-year-old star took to his Instagram account and posted a picture from the vaccination centre, where he got the jab for the second time. He captioned the post, "Doosra bhi ho gaya. Covid wala, Cricket wala nahi. sorry sorry that was really bad one."

Recently, Big B has also contributed Rs. 2 Crore for the COVID-care centre at Rakab Ganj Gurdwara in Delhi. He made sure that oxygen concentrators from abroad reached the COVID care centre.

Bachchan also has blogged about how he purchased 50 oxygen concentrators from Poland and donated ventilators to Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday.

"I have to, in deepest gratitude thank profusely the Govt., of Poland, the Mayor of the City of Wroclaw, the Ambassador of India at Warsaw and the LOT Polish Airlines for their very gracious gesture towards me. The general call from the places that were in need of help had been for the urgent need of Oxygen Concentrators. These are and were difficult to procure and when I was not getting any immediate source to acquire them my friend and the Indian Consul in Wroclaw stepped forward," Bachchan wrote in his latest blog entry.

On the other hand, Bhaijan Salman Khan on Friday was spotted at a vaccination centre in Mumbai, where he received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He got the second jab on the auspicious occasion of Eid. He took his first dose of the vaccine on March 24.
